The Arm Lift Procedure

In order to remove the unwanted skin, an incision that runs from near the elbow into the armpit is often required, but other smaller incisions are sometimes possible depending on the amount of skin present. The incision is placed in the most inconspicuous location possible (inner arm toward the back).
In addition to the excision of unnecessary skin, liposuction may also be performed to remove some fat tissue. Once these steps are complete, the incisions are closed with sutures.
After Arm Lift Surgery
Recovery from an arm lift varies, but most patients can expect some swelling and mild discomfort for the first few days. Keeping the arms elevated and wearing a compression garment can help manage swelling and support the healing tissues. Light daily activities can usually be resumed within a few days, but strenuous exercise and heavy lifting should be avoided for several weeks. Full recovery typically takes a few months, with final results becoming more noticeable as swelling subsides.
